Harrogate Symphony Orchestra is hoping for another sell out concert when it performs Peer Gynt and Beethoven’s Symphony No 5 at the Royal Hall next month.
Actor and director Hugo Speer, who grew up in Harrogate and still has close ties with the town, has said he is hoping to attend the event on 3 November 2012.
Speer has been offering his support to the orchestra’s ongoing marketing campaign and has attended previous concerts when his busy filming schedule has permitted.
The concert programme also includes Walton’s Crown Imperial and Grieg’s Piano concerto in A minor.
The piano concerto will be performed by renowned pianist, Alberto Portugheis and Leeds-based piano specialist Mark Crossland of The PianoMan will supply a Shigeru Kawai Concert Grand Piano for him to play on the night.
Some tickets for the concert are still available from the Harrogate Theatre Box Office, tel 01423 502 116.
