At 20:27 hours this evening (30th August 2012) fire crews were called to the Harlow Moor Road area of Harrogate.
One fire engine from Harrogate was mobilised to a report of a fire in the open near the old water works on Harlow Moor Road.
On arrival at the scene crews discovered a building approximately 40 metres by 20 metres well alight and requested a further two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform.
Two fire engines and the ladder platform from Harrogate and a fire engine from Knaresborough are currently using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.
