A number of vehicles parked on Chain Lane in Knaresborough have recently been damaged.
A number of vehicles were scratched, some across the entire length of the side of the vehicle using a sharp implement over the evening of 8th August.
The number of vehicles involved is not currently clear with 4 reports currently being made. It is believed that there could be many more that remain unreported. Knaresborough Police are urging people to contact them if they have been affected.
Sergeant Matthew Hagen from the Safer Neighbourhood Team in Knaresborough said:
We are aware of a number incidents of damage to vehicles parked on Manor Road at the Chain Lane end, over the night of Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th August.
We have received a number of reports from the vehicle owners, but believe there is likely to be damage that has occurred that has not been reported and we would urge people to do so using the 101 non-emergency number.
We are also urging people who witnessed any of the damage or any suspicious behaviour to come forward.
