Northallerton police are appealing for witnesses after a trailer was stolen from a local farm.
Sometime between Monday 16 July and Friday 27 July 2012 a blue and black bale trailer was taken from a farm in Thrintoft.
The trailer, which is 20-30ft long, was parked next to an outbuilding on the farm and it would have required a tractor to remove it.
Officers are appealing to anyone who say anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to get in touch.
PC Quita Passmore, of Northallerton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:
I am urging all farmers to be vigilant and ensure they keep an eye on their equipment at this time.
Farmers can ill-afford to lose their equipment in harvest season and I would urge anyonbe who has any information about this theft to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.
Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Quita Passmore or Northallerton police.
Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
