Police are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the A19 (York to Thirsk) at Shipton-by-Benningbrough.
It occurred approximately two miles north of the village shortly after 2pm and involved two cars.
All three emergency services are currently at the scene
The road is expected to be closed for sometime and local diversions are in place.
