Two Bradford men have been summonsed to court for stealing in excess of £4500 worth of Yorkshire stone belonging to the Harewood estate.
The offence came to light after a local resident saw the men loading up a van with the stone that had been removed from a barn roof. The registration number was taken and enquiries commenced.
Within a short period of time, local officer PC Becky Hurrell had both men at the police station where initially they both tried to deny the offence. When faced with the evidence against them, the culprits admitted their guilt and are now awaiting their summons to court.
