The 99th Aldborough and Boroughbridge Show was due to be held on 22 July 2012 but has been postponed due to the recent inclement weather.
A further date is yet to be set for the event.
A spokesperson for the show said:
It is with much regret and due to the inclement weather conditions that the Aldborough and Boroughbridge Show Committee have decided that this year’s show will have to be postponed to a later date, which is yet to be confirmed.
The Committee invites all those entering the Horticulture, Baking, Farm Produce, Children’s, Photography, Floral Art and Art classes to show their exhibits at the Coronation Hall on 22nd July 2012. The judging of these classes will continue as previously organised, just at a different location. The general public are invited to attend the Coronation Hall after midday to view these entries. A nominal charge of £1 will be made to all adults attending who have not exhibited. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Further details with regard to a future date for the full show will be released over the next few days via Twitter, Facebook and on our website.
Tradestands, sponsors, craft stands and all other exhibitors will be notified in due course of the new show date in writing.
The Committee wishes to express that this has not been a decision that has been taken lightly and in view of the forward weather forecast and the already very wet ground, it would be unwise to put spectators, animals or exhibitors at great risk.
Should anyone wish for further immediate clarification on any matter relating to the show please do not hesitate to contact The Secretary on 07510 132799
