It’s all smiles through the rain as the Yorkshire sheep-handlers Anne Duckworth and Kevin Robinson tie the knot at the Great Yorkshire Show, being the first couple in history to exchange vows on show day at the Pavilions of Harrogate. Anne, 47 was laughing and smiling as she chinked her champagne glass with her new husband Kevin, 50 as their 11 month old baby girl, Ellie, watched.
The pair decided to marry at the Great Yorkshire Show after meeting for the first time there when Kevin judged her sheep. They decide to continue the tradition after their wedding and just two and a half hours after slipping the rings on one another’s fingers, the two are showing their Zwartbles sheep.
Anne said:
I am passionate about my county so we decided to try and incorporate all the things that mean so much to us on our wedding day – sheep, showing and Yorkshire. As a result, we are getting married at 10am then rushing across the showground to show our sheep at 2pm.
Let’s just hope the weather clears up so that the sheep don’t shrink in the rain!
