St John Fisher Catholic High School celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on Friday 1st June with a host of activities organised by the School Council. An assembly took place with presentations and choir performances by Year 7s, and catering staff decorated the canteen and baked special edition Jubilee Cakes.
As part of their Jubilee project, Year 9 GCSE Business Studies students created event posters and paper chains, Year 9 BTEC boys organised a Beat The Teacher penalty shoot out and BTEC girls organised a red, white and blue nail painting enterprise. The lunchtime Enterprise clubalso organised a number of games and competitions for everyone to enjoy at lunchtime.
All students dressed in red, white and blue for the occasion and non-uniform money was raised for Harrogate Homeless Project and School Council Activities.
