Harrogate Town AFC have announced that former fans favourite Dave Merris has re-joined the club for the third time.
Dave (31), who started his career with his home town club of Rotherham United, first came to Harrogate Town from Guiseley AFC in September 1999. Four seasons later, he signed for league club York City before Neil Aspin brought him back to Wetherby Road in 2006.
Half way through the 2007/2008 season, Dave re-joined former club Guiseley AFC where he helped them from the Unibond Premier and nearly into the Blue Square Bet Premier. He leaves the Lions having made over 250 appearances (4 goals scored).
At present he has made 285 appearances for Harrogate and sits in 11th place in our all-time appearances table.
