Police in Hambleton are asking for the public’s help to recover a stolen bracelet.
It was taken from the car park of the Crab and Lobster restaurant in Asenby, near Thirsk between 8pm and 11pm on Sunday 18 March 2012, where it had been accidentally dropped.
When it fell from the car the bracelet was in a fabric bag. When the woman who lost the bracelet returned the next day she found the bag. However, the bracelet was missing.
The bracelet is a unique handmade design of gold links and is valued at approximately £1,500.
PC Alastair Gill, who is investigating the theft, said:
I urge anyone who can help return the bracelet to its rightful owner to contact the police straight away.
The bracelet was a gift from a husband to his wife several years ago and is a much treasured item. It had only been taken off as the woman who owns it had been given another bracelet as a Mothers’ Day gift.
Anyone who can help the police with this enquiry is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, press option 2 and ask for Alastair Gill.
Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12120045203.
