Harrogate Railway finished on a low as mid table Mossley rattled in six goals past a beleaguered home defence.
Mossley took a two goal lead after 25 minutes when Ben Richardson capitalised twice on some poor Rail defending. Rail had already missed an eighth minute penalty but they were awarded a further penalty on 35 mins and Colin Hunter made no mistake to reduce the arrears.
The second-half was pretty even but with twenty minutes to go Mossley scored two more goals through Tom Denton and Dan Queeley to make the game safe.
Substitute Joe Heap saw red for the visitors for a high boot on defender Dave Ward but this did not stop Mossley scoring a further two goals through a spectacular 50 yard effort from captain Dave Young and Ben Richardson who tapped in from close range to complete his hat-trick on 85 minutes.
Rail had no response as Mossley ran out comfortable winners.
