The Bilton Gala Queen was selected by a tough panel of judges on 29 February 2012 at an event at Bilton Cricket Club in Harrogate.
The panel was made up of Alex Cann from StrayFM, Miranda Rand who runs a hairdressing business in Bilton and Gala Committee Member, Debbie Dilasser.
The panel interviewed each applicant in turn and then took time to consider who should be the Queen and assistants.
Alex Cann said:
It was a pleasure to be the ‘Simon Cowell’ of the judging panel (although hopefully I was a bit nicer!).
All of the participants were fab, and it was a difficult decision.
I can’t wait to see the Gala Queen and her Attendants perform their duties at this year’s Bilton Gala!
Freya Kestevenson and Katie Robinson were selected as assistance with Ella Hyde being made Gala Queen.
Runner up Natasha Moran was not left out with a tour of the StrayFM studios being given by Alex as a surprise prize on the night.
The Queen will be crowned during the Gala on 7th May. This years theme is the Olympics and the return of the Mark Stannage stunt team will be sure to attract record crowds.
