Harrogate Police are hosting their first virtual public meeting on Tuesday 13th March from 6.00pm – 7.30pm
The meeting will allow Harrogate residents to ask questions and receive quick responses from Inspector Penny Taylor.
PC Ed Rogerson explained further:
The North Yorkshire Police website will host the meeting which will be take the form of a chat room.
We hope to reach members of the community who have never attended the more traditional community meetings, so that we can find out what their concerns are and what they think the policing priorities should be.
Residents will be able to participate from their own home and will be able to make comments or ask questions (or just observe what is being discussed) without the need to sign in or provide personal information – they can be anonymous if they desire.
Twitter users have the option of joining in too – any tweets featuring the hashtag #vcap (virtual community and police meeting) will be included in the online meeting.
The website will be www.northyorkshire.police.uk/vcap
You can pre-register an email and receive a reminder before the meeting.
