Yorkshire based Acceleris Marketing Communications has got the ‘Year of the Dragon’ off to a roaring start winning six new accounts in the first month of 2012. The wins will see the agency working with market leaders in a wide range of sectors including media, retail, motoring, environmental, energy and facilities management services
The new wins include appointments by two major media brands; High Street TV and Bauer Media. In total, the new accounts are expected to generate accumulated annual fees in excess of £150,000.
High Street TV is a specialist in multichannel retailing and has engaged Acceleris to deliver a dedicated communications campaign spanning national and trade media to showcase how the company is revolutionising direct TV sales as well as highlight the significant commercial benefits to retailers of partnering with the organisation.
Continuing the agency’s activity within the media sector, which includes work with the Daily Mail Group, Northcliffe Media and BBC Worldwide, Acceleris has been appointed by Europe’s largest media group, Bauer Media to provide PR support to the Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle Show. The show, which takes place at London’s Excel on 2 – 5 February, is the capital’s biggest motor cycle show and is hosted by Motor Cycle News, the most successful motorbike magazine in the UK. Acceleris is handling on and offline PR alongside the promotion of charity ride out at renowned biker hotspot, the Ace Cafe London, led by comedian Ross Noble and actor Danny John-Jules.
Building on extensive experience with clients within the motoring sector, Acceleris’ third appointment is by Nexus Vehicle Management, a £40million turnover company that provides flexible vehicle rental services for businesses throughout the UK.
Acceleris has been initially engaged to deliver PR support for Nexus-owned AVH (Adapted Vehicle Hire) including an integrated media campaign targeting national, regional and trade media as well as that covering the disability sector. Since its formation six years ago, the Uxbridge-based business has grown to become the UK market leader in the provision of rental vehicles specially adapted to meet the differing needs of disabled customers.
This latest raft of account wins will see the agency further expand its work within the social housing sector as it has been appointed to deliver social media support and training to arm’s length management organisation, East Durham Homes.
The agency, based in Harrogate but operating for clients across the country, will also grow its work with Kier, the leading construction, services and property group where it has been engaged to deliver a dedicated media relations campaign for its environmental, energy and facility management divisions. In 2011 Acceleris was reappointed to manage the integrated communications campaign for Kier’s Maintenance arm, one of the UK’s major social housing repair and maintenance contractors, spanning media relations, event support and magazine production.
Acceleris Managing Director Peter Davenport said:
There is no doubt that these are very difficult times but beneath the mess of the macro-economy ‘real’ business is still being done and there is the potential for growth for those willing to embrace the opportunity through hard work, innovation and a real commitment to client service.
These six wins in the first four weeks of the New Year are a real boost and the result of a lot of hard work by the entire Acceleris team
The sixth new name in the agency’s client portfolio saw it arrange for General Sir Mike Jackson, former head of the British Army, to address a leadership event for marketing services company, Communisis Plc.
These latest wins for Acceleris follow a successful 2011 which saw the agency appointed to devise and deliver campaigns for clients including Leeds-based charity The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, top ten national insurance broker Bluefin, leading online motor retail site, Trusted Dealers and the Yorkshire and Lancashire dealership group, Vantage Toyota.
