Harrogate Town AFC were very pleased to welcome local Harrogate and Knaresborough MP Andrew Jones, as a guest of the club, to the CNG Stadium on Saturday to watch Harrogate Town take on Histon.
Despite the scoreline finishing 0-0, Mr Jones was, along with the rest of the 393 crowd, presented with a match that contained plenty of chances and entertaining football.

Speaking about the game, Mr Jones said:
I thought Town played well against Hinton and it definitely felt as though we deserved a win. Histon’s goalkeeper was nearly beaten on three separate occasions and but for the goalpost we would certainly have been the winners.
Congratulations to Harrogate Town on a great effort and particular congratulations to number 11, Craig Radcliffe, who I was pleased to present with a well-deserved man of the match award.
Let’s hope for a win against Bishops Stortford on Saturday.
Mr Jones has taken a great interest in the club since the new management took over and is especially drawn to how the club is progressing in its attempts to become more prominent in the local community.
Harrogate Town chairman Irving Weaver had this to say about his visitor:
I was delighted to welcome Andrew to our home match against Histon. Andrew is a football fan, and I am sure from his comments he really enjoyed the match. He was one of the last to leave the ground.
