Stephen Curran, Head Teacher at Tong High School, said:
We have a clear vision at Tong to provide the highest quality education and opportunities for students in our local community, regardless of their academic starting point, ethnicity, gender, parents’ wealth and aspiration.
We have recently invested in our people and facilities and now want to communicate how we can help students to reach their full potential. Acceleris has an understanding of our sector and has delivered a number of integrated communications campaigns and activities in the Yorkshire region and we are confident that, with Acceleris’s help, we will achieve all our goals.
Acceleris will be supplementing the activity by offering work experience at the offices in Harrogate to Tong students interested in a career in the media. Students will get involved in a number of activities from drafting copy, liaising with journalists, attending brainstorms and taking part in client events and activity.
Acceleris Managing Director Peter Davenport said:
We are delighted at this latest appointment which adds another name to our growing portfolio of clients.
We are looking forward to using our knowledge of the latest social media techniques to develop an integrated campaign which will appeal to current and potential new students, parents and stakeholders alike.
We also look forward to welcoming students to the offices at Acceleris to learn about the principles of PR and communications. Only by investing in the knowledge and skills of young people will we ensure we have the best new talent entering the industry.
The win follows a string of recent appointments, including Vantage Toyota, Leeds charity Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and the ‘Leeds Community Stars Awards’ for a number of Leeds social housing organisations.
