It was a bad day at the office for Harrogate Town as their frailties against set pieces were exposed once again.
Town were troubled by a series of early corners and long throws into the box by Gavin Hurren.
Danny Spencer’s through ball was driven wide by Richard Walker as Moors piled on the pressure.
Town’s first attack almost produced a goal as keeper Jasbir Singh spilled Craig Radcliffe’s corner, but he made amends by keeping out Lee Elam’s follow up shot.
Twice the dangerous Mike Blackwood almost prized open the Town defence, firstly shooting narrowly over, then setting up sub Jordan Fitzpatrick, who contrived to miss an open goal.
Harrogate replied with Jake Picton’s 36th minute header being blocked on the line by Junior English, but two minutes later Dom Langdon’s back header from a free kick crept in off the post to give Moors the lead.
Lee Elam and Paul Brayson combined well, but the latters angled drive was sraight at Singh.
Two headers from corners within eight minutes made it three for the Moors.
Lee Morris headed home from close range after 55 minutes, then Stuart Pierpoint rose unchallenged to head into the far corner.
With twenty minutes remaining Simon Weaver introduced 18 year old Jack Emmett for his debut.
Brayson’s superbly struck free kick with 13 minutes left gave Town hopes of salvaging a point, but with six minutes to go Fitzpatrick ran through a static Town defence and beat Mark Cook with a low shot into the far corner to end Town’s mini revival.
Fitzpatrick completed the scoring in the 3rd minute of added time when his speculative, swerving 30 yard drive, beat Cook via the upright.
