Town got back to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over Eastwood.
An impeccably observed minutes silence for long serving committee man John Lobley preceded the match.
Lee Elam made early inroads into the visiting with a fine cross field run and shot over the bar.
It took only 3 minutes for Town to take the lead when Laurie Wilson squared to Stephen Turnbull and his 30 yard rocket gave James Severn in the visitor’s goal no chance.
Eastwood hit back through skipper Paul Riley.Firstly,his searching cross was sliced for a corner by Jake Picton,then his angled drive just missed the upright.
Ex Harrogate player Jason Bradley headed Riley’s free kick wide,but at the other end Jonny Allan’s header from Craig Radcliffe’s deep centre
came back off the post.
Although the Harrogate forwards were finding acres of space as Town dominated,the hearts of the home supporters missed a beat, as Luke Edwards latched on to a short backpass by Luke Ashworth,but fired into the side netting.
Harrogate kept up the pressure as half time approached,with Allan scuffing Liam Darville’s pass wide and Wilson almost catching Severn off his line,forcing him to tip over the bar.
Town forced a series of corners early in the second half and after 54 minutes Craig Radcliffe’s corner was helped on to Ashworth who nodded in from close range to make it two.
The Badgers were finding it hard to contain Harrogate and Paul Brayson beat Severn only to be denied by the offside flag.
Radcliffe, Brayson and Wilson went close,but it was the visitors who reduced the arrears with twenty minutes left.
Sub Jervaise Christie broke down the right and beat Mark Cook from an acute angle.
Eastwood never really looked like rescuing a point and it was Harrogate’s Turnbull who almost made it three with a cross shot that just missed the upright and sub Alex Meechan’s drive was only half cleared to Wilson who shot over.
