A leading installer of home cinema and audio systems is “bucking the trend” by not only strengthening its hi-tech team, but opening a new head office too.
Harrogate Home Cinema, which was launched in 2009 and has a showroom on Bower Road, has just moved into a new HQ on the town’s Hornbeam Park and taken on two new members of staff.
Paul Dunbar, who joins the company as showroom and installation manager, has more than a decade’s experience developing new stores, working with communications, computer support , sound and vision and allied trades.
Andy Quirk, 22, undertakes an apprenticeship-type role within the growing business. In addition to boosting the existing sales team, he is studying to be an electrician, which will have benefits for the company once he is qualified.

Harrogate Home Cinema Director Peter Hudspeth said:
Over the last two years our business has grown from strength to strength. We are now in the position to invest in people and additional business address.
We have appointed at two different levels. Paul is incredibly experienced and has a lot to offer in terms of his knowledge of installations, products and the industry at large.
Andy is an investment for the future. He is determined to learn from Paul and once qualified as an electrician, he will be a key player in our installation team.
Harrogate Home Cinema Director Andy Wyatt said:
In addition to Paul and Andy’s appointments, moving into a new ‘head office’ is an important development for us.
For two years our showroom on Bower Road was where we ran the business from. However, it became clear that as trade increased we needed to expand into another location, hence moving onto Hornbeam Park.
We are now looking at further developing the business and expanding into new areas.
