North Yorkshire Police are currently at the scene of a serious single vehicle road traffic collision on the A1 near Wetherby (as off 15:00 16 September)
It occurred at around 12.45pm today (Friday 16 September 2011) on the southbound carriageway and involved a dark silver Mercedes Benz motor car containing three men believed to be from the Hertfordshire area.
The car rolled a number of times before coming to rest on the road.
All three occupants are being taken to Harrogate District Hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The A1 is currently closed southbound just North of Wetherby and is expected to remain so for some time. For A1 Soutbound travel it is still possible to travel through Wetherby.
