Detectives in York are appealing for the public to help them find a wanted man.
York Crown Court have issued a bench warrant for the arrest of 23-year-old Scott Hurst, of The Groves, York, after he failed to attend the court on 5 August 2011 charged with robbery.
Hurst is also wanted for recall to prison after breaching the terms of his release licence by failing to attend appointments with his supervising officer.
He was released from HMP Hull in May after being sentenced to three years and seven months for driving offences.
Police have searched a number of properties in the York area as they try to locate Hurst and are now asking the public for their assistance.
Detective Inspector Dave Kirby, of York CID, said:
Scott Hurst is well known in York and I am appealing for local people to keep an eye out for him and let us know where he is.
We believe Hurst is still in the area and I urge anyone who knows where he is staying to contact the police or Crimestoppers with information.
Hurst is not believed to be a danger to the general public, however the sooner he is back behind bars the better.
Anyone who sees Scott Hurst or has any information about where he is should contact York CID on 0845 60 60 24 7.
