Three youths have been arrested after a teenager was robbed in Harrogate.
The victim, a 16-year-old local boy, was allegedly assaulted in an alleyway off Stonefall Avenue at around 3.25pm on Sunday 14 August 2011. The offenders took his red and black Blackberry Curve Smartphone from his pocket before making off in the direction of Prospect Road.
Officers made an area search and located three youths near by who matched the description of the offenders. They were arrested on suspicion of robbery and the victim’s phone was recovered close to the scene.
The suspects, local boys aged 15,16 and 17, were detained overnight and released on conditional bail this afternoon (15 August 2011) to allow for detectives to continue their enquiries into the incident.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the robbery or has any other information about the incident, to get in touch.

Fortunately, the victim was unhurt, but this was an unpleasant experience for him and he was left shaken up.
