Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision last night (5th August 2011) around 11pm at the junction of the A65 Otley Road, Guiseley with the Green.
Two motorcycles, a Yamaha and a Suzuki, were travelling city bound on the A65 Otley Road approaching the junction with The Green. A single decker bus was travelling east to west on the Green towards Park Road. A collison occured between the Yamaha and the bus.
The rider of the Yamaha, a 25 year old man from Yeadon, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary but was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
A 33 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently detained at a police station to be spoken to by officers.
