Detectives in York are appealing for information following a robbery in the city.
It took place at an off-licence on Monkton Road at approximately 10.50pm on Wednesday 20 July 2011 as the owner was securing the premises.
The 40-year-old local man was closing the security shutters when he was forced into the store by two men who threatened him with a knife and then tied him up.
The robbers stole the victim’s wallet, mobile telephone from him as well as stealing the day’s takings from a safe in the shop.
During the incident the victim suffered a minor head injury and was taken to York District Hospital for treatment.
Detective Sergeant Mandy Grundy, of York CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone in the local community who may have witnessed the incident to come forward as I need to speak to them as soon as possible.”
