HRH Prince Charles and Camilla visited the Great Yorkshire Show today (13 July 2011), arriving at midday they were greeted by many local dignitaries including Police Chief Constable Grahame Maxwell, the Mayor of Harrogate, Lady Mayoress and the Chief Executive of Harrogate Borough Council, Wallace Sampson.
Prince Charles and Camilla then toured the show ground, at times separately before arriving at the Presidents Pavilion. Their tour was scheduled to last an hour but took over 2 hours.
The Royal couple enjoyed lunch in the Pavilion before continuing their tour of the show during the afternoon.
Harrogate-News accompanied the Major on his trip to the Majors pavilion and stopped off at the Welcome to Yorkshire stand to try out their beach!
