North Yorkshire Police are investigating an incident at a takeaway restaurant in Harrogate in which two members of staff were attacked by a man armed with a knife.
It occurred at Oceans 11 on Kings Road at about 8pm on Saturday 9 July 2011. (Note: this was previously reported incorrectly as Bambinos)
A man entered the premises and after a brief conversation, he allegedly produced a knife and attacked two men – the shop owner and a co-worker – causing minor injuries.
The attack was seen to spill into the street before the police quickly arrived and arrested the man with the knife.
The shop owner, aged 41 and the co-worker, 26, attended Harrogate District Hospital with injuries consistent with a knife attack. They have since been discharged following treatment.
Detectives from Harrogate CID are questioning the 41-year-old local suspect as police enquiries continue.
Extra patrols have been in place in the area to reassure local people.
Officers believe this was an isolated incident and residents should not be concerned for their safety.
