At about 5:40pm on Wednesday 22 June 2011, a serious collision occurred on the B6164 – between the St James Retail Park, A658 Knaresborough bypass, and North Deighton.
The incident involved a black Yamaha R6 motorcycle and a grey BMW 320 car.
Both the male rider and male pillion passenger on the motorcycle (both aged in their mid-20s and from the local area) were taken to Harrogate District Hospital to receive treatment for serious but non-life threatening injuries. The male driver of the car, also local, received treatment for minor injuries.
Police are requesting witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing either vehicle prior to the collision, to contact Ts691 Ian Pope or Tc105 Andy Macleod at Harrogate Police Station on 0845 60 60 24 7, quoting the reference number NYP-22062011-0376.
