As the Royal Wedding countdown begins, many of the guests have been heading to Harrogate to buy their outfits.
Snooty Frox of Harrogate is delighted to be involved in its own way with the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday 29th April.
Although they can’t reveal who’s bought what, staff have been making a careful note of each outfit sold, so hopefully there won’t be any matching designs at Westminster Abbey!
Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire: “This is absolutely fantastic news for Snooty Frox and we are delighted to hear about their success.
“With customers flocking to the shop from across the UK, this is a great way to showcase the town and really helps to put Yorkshire on the map.”
Snooty Frox, on Hookstone Road, Harrogate, is attracting custom from as far afield as Australia, thanks to its website and has just been named as one of the UK’s Top 50 Inspiring Independents by Drapers & Pure fashion magazine.
Owner Hilary Haresign said: “I’m proud that Snooty Frox’s growing reputation is attracting such attention across the world.
“It is great for us, for Harrogate and for Yorkshire that people are choosing to shop here and see all that the county has to offer while they’re visiting for the weekend.
“I shall be watching the wedding on television – and looking out for the Snooty Frox outfits. It’s all very exciting.”
Snooty Frox has had to extend its opening hours to include Sundays to cope with the increased demand, both from the Royal Wedding guests and other customers keen to be seen in outfits fit for a Royal occasion.
Styles by Condici, Ian Stuart and Gerry Weber have been selling particularly well.
