Police in Harrogate are investigating the theft of a pair of distinctive boots.
It is thought the Daytona motorcycle boots were taken from the back of a van parked on Mount Parade, in the town, in early December 2010, when the owner discovered that someone had opened the back door. At the time they did not believe that anything had been taken. However, they realised on 27 January 2011 that the boots were missing.
The red and black boots have a diagonal white stripe which bears the word “Daytona”. The boots are European size 42 and were still in their box and are valued at approximately £700.
Police Constable Leah Champion, of the Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who knows anything about the theft or may have been offered the boots in unusual circumstances and ask that they contact me as soon as possible.”
