Local MP, Andrew Jones to meet with Kevin Watterson a surgeon at the LGI Heart unit and a number of local families.
A meeting has been arranged by www.harrogate-news.co.uk after being contacted by a number of families with young children using the unit.
Andrew Jones has previously highlighted this issue to the House of Commons, but families are looking to raise much more awareness and halt the closure.
A 4 month consultation period completes on 1 July 2011 when a decision will be made if the heart unit is to remain open.
