It was time to celebrate for Harrogate and Knaresborough Conservative Association on Sunday 6 March, when the local office was announced as joint winner of the Conservative National Excellence Awards 2010 for Campaigning. Harrogate and Knaresborough MP, Andrew Jones, was joined by the association’s agent, Kate Mackenzie, to collect the award from the Prime Minister at the Conservative Spring Conference in Cardiff.
Mr Jones said: “I am so pleased that all the hard work of our local supporters and members has been recognised at this level. For Harrogate and Knaresborough to come joint top out of all the Conservative Associations across the country is an achievement of which to be proud. Well done to our many local volunteers without whose hard work and dedication it would not have been possible to win this award.”
Harrogate and Knaresborough Conservative Association was selected as a national winner following years of hard work and local campaigning running up to the General Election last May.
