Harrogate Town 0 Guiseley 0 Att. 301
A battling performance by Harrogate Town saw them hold promotion chasing Guiseley to a goalless draw.
Town fielding debutants Chris Elliott,John Leonard and the returning Kyle Hadley did well to hold Guiseley in the first half.
Liam Needham troubled Town with some dangerous runs and Simon Baldry and Warren Peyton posed a constant threat down the right.
It was from a right wing cross that the visitors almost took the lead when the ball was turned on to the Town crossbar;Jake Picton cleared Harrogate’s lines after a desperate goalmouth scramble.
Chances were few and far between in a match largely played in midfield, but it was Town who came closest to scoring in the second half
when Lee Ellington turned Ciaran Toner’s centre onto the Guiseley bar.
For Town it was a welcome point after the defeat at Hinckley, and a good workout for Guiseley who entertain Luton Town on Saturday in the F A Trophy.
