Four other men have been arrested in connection with an incident at a flat in Franklin Road, Harrogate on Friday 7 January 2011, during which a 41-year-old local man was stabbed.
The injured man has now been named as Patrick Blakey.
A 44-year-old man, a 49-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a 28-year-old man. They are all local and have been released on bail as enquiries continue.
The victim remains in a stable condition in Harrogate District Hospital.
Stephen Maughn and Lee Harpin have been charged and remain in custody in York pending a date being set for a trial.
