Motorcyclist airlifted to LGI following collision in Harewood

A 30-year-old man was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding was in collision with a car on the A61 near Harewood House on Saturday (16/4) morning.

A 28-year-old man from Leeds, who was driving the Honda Civic, has been bailed by police after being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

The incident occurred around 10.30am close to the junction with Otley Road when the grey Triumph motorcycle collided with a black Honda Civic car.

The rider of the motorcycle, who is from Scarborough, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries where he remains in a stable condition this morning.
